We’ve teamed up with Inn Places to offer one lucky reader the chance to win a two night stay for two at the St Tudy Inn in St Tudy, including a 3 course dinner
Having successfully run The Harbour Restaurant in Port Isaac for 6 years, talented chef Emily Scott moved inland in 2013 with exciting plans to transform the fortunes of the 17th-century St Tudy Inn. Nestled in a sleepy village in the tranquil and beautiful Camel Valley, yet within easy reach of both Bodmin Moor and Cornwall’s rugged north coast, chef-patron Emily has worked hard to create a fabulous little foodie inn that draws discerning diners from far and wide.
The St Tudy Inn is firmly on Cornwall’s culinary map, thanks to her rustic seasonal menus that champion local and regional suppliers, and the elegant, understated rooms, added in 2017, are definitely the icing on the cake – it’s now a food lover’s paradise, the perfect destination inn. What’s more, it’s still a pub, with a warm welcome and a proper bar for locals to enjoy a pint of St Tudy Ale by the fire. Elsewhere, the three cosy dining areas have a cool, minimalist feel with soft hues and black-and-white prints on the walls, slate or wood floors, old settles and benches at mix and match pine tables, a warming wood-burning stove in the open fireplace, fresh flowers from the garden, and simple white plates, glassware and linen napkins. It’s all very elegant and stylish, yet a relaxing and calming place in which to savour some fantastic food.
