The Scarlet restaurant at the Scarlet hotel gazes out over Mawgan Porth beach to the sea beyond from it’s location in one of Cornwall’s most luxurious eco hotels. The menu changes daily and varies with the seasons, and is full of fresh, locally sourced produce. Readers also noted what an excellent wine menu there is. The Michelin star restaurant at the Driftwood Hotel is run by Chris Eden, who is as Cornish as the produce he serves, having grown up in and now living again in St Austell. He is passionate about creating dishes using only the highest quality local ingredients. Readers loved the unfussy, modern food and innovative flavour combinations.

Highly commended: The Greenbank, Falmouth

The Water's Edge Restaurant at The Greenbank Hotel boasts a menu full of locally landed fresh fish, succulent local meats and luscious seasonal vegetables and fruits grown and reared on their doorstep, from artisan breads and cheeses, to foraged foods plucked from Cornish hedgerows. Readers loved the location and said the staff here are knowledgeable and efficient.
