Think quintessential high tea with a magical sprinkle of Christmas. The spectacular cliff-top location of the hotel means Christmas diners can enjoy uninterrupted views across Fistral Bay and beyond. Look carefully and you might even be able to see St Nicholas and his reindeer shooting across the sky!

In the luxurious Terrace Lounge this Christmas there will be stunning winter vistas and plenty of seasonal treats to warm you up. Enjoy cranberry and cinnamon scones with Cornish clotted cream, spiced rum and raisin butter, and homemade lemon curd. To truly round off the festive celebrations, enjoy your afternoon treat with a Christmas Cracker cocktail for £8.00.

Pentire Hotel takes afternoon tea very seriously, especially at Christmas time. This December there are mince pies and lemon possets topped with winter berries to be devoured and cups-upon-cups of freshly brewed tea to be sipped. Calories don’t count at Christmas so indulge in turkey and cranberry sandwiches and Brandy Snaps to boot. To make your afternoon extra special, add Prosecco or gin and tonics to your festive afternoon tea for an additional fee.

The Royal Duchy Hotel’s festive afternoon feast is available in December only and includes festive cake, mince pies and Cornish cream tea - that’s not forgetting the cucumber and smoked salmon finger sandwiches. For one day only, Pentillie Castle will be hosting a festive afternoon tea on 17 December. Guests can explore Pentillie gardens and woodland to work up an appetite ahead of their Christmas feast. Tables for cream tea are available between 12 and 4pm.
