From enjoying a mouth-watering roast with a view at Falmouth’s Star & Garter to dining in a vibrant country pub in Penzance, we have chosen eight of the best places to eat a Sunday roast...

The Waymarker, Falmouth

This Sunday keep out of the kitchen and take a trip to The Waymarker for a scrumptious roast. With homemade Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and gravy, you’re bound to quell that Sunday lunch craving. Better yet, finish your meal with one of Waymarker’s delicious hot puddings – yum!

The Falmouth Packet Inn, Penzance

Serving patrons since the 1850s, The Falmouth Packet Inn are experienced in delivering tasty fare and real ales. Drop by on a Sunday to sample the Inn’s delicious roast dinner with an excellent range of succulent meats to choose from. Within close proximity to the beautiful spots of Praa Sands and Perranuthoe, take a walk and enjoy a perfect Cornish sunset after a hearty meal.

The Victoria Inn, Penzance

Enjoy a Sunday afternoon at this lively, country pub in Penzance, just a stone’s throw from the pretty Cornwall town of Marazion. Alongside award winning dishes, fine wines, tasty local ales, ciders and Cornish lagers, this dog-friendly pub also serves up a mouth-watering roast dinner. We love the roasted loin of Primrose Herd pork accompanied by black pudding, roast potatoes, apple sauce and gravy.

Old School Bar & Kitchen, Mount Hawke

Tuck into a sumptuous Sunday roast, complete with all the tasty, traditional trimmings with a local beer in hand at the award-winning Old School Bar & Kitchen. Boasting original features in an iconic school building setting and a location near to the Cornish coast, its little wonder people return again and again to this beautiful gastropub.

Mariners Rock, Rock

When the clock strikes midday gather at the Mariners Rock and enjoy the beautiful views stretching across the Camel Estuary while indulging in a succulent Sunday roast. We recommend that you try the roast free-range pork collar accompanied by a sweet sauce and to follow, the three year old Davidstow Crackler Cheddar, Mariners’ chutney and crackers.

Halsetown Inn, St Ives

While in the seaside town of St Ives pay a visit to the Halsetown Inn for a delicious Sunday lunch feast. Begin with a starter such as feta filled filo cigars with salad, followed by their inventive twist on the roast dinner (the cheesy leeks are to die for) and for dessert treat yourself to a sticky ginger pudding with ginger toffee sauce and clotted cream. In the summer enjoy a meal al fresco in their delightful outdoor seating area while in the colder months warm up next to the roaring open fire.

Bustopher Jones, Truro

Situated on Lemon Street is the bistro Bustopher Jones, serving a menu brimming with delicious dishes and drinks making it the perfect place to visit after a morning shopping in Truro’s city centre. Enjoy the tasty, two course Sunday roast for £18 accompanied by a glass of Touraine Sauvignon.

Star & Garter, Falmouth

As you walk along Falmouth’s picturesque harbour you will come across the Star & Garter pub, serving tasty fare by the beautiful Cornish harbour. Enjoy a mouth-watering roast sat by the fireplace with an elderflower gin fizz; we recommend that you try the succulent slow cooked pork shoulder and finish with the exquisite lemon roulade.
