Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s Seasearch project is seeking qualified SCUBA divers to take part in training which will enable them to help protect precious Cornish marine wildlife. Seasearch is a national project for volunteer sports divers who have an interest in what they are seeing under water, want to learn more and want to help protect the marine environment. The Trust, Cornwall’s leading wildlife charity is responsible for co-ordinating all Seasearch activities in the county.

An introductory one day ‘Observer’ course will be held at the Trust’s headquarters on Saturday 12th April. This will teach divers about our amazing marine life, and what they can do to record it, thus contributing to marine conservation.

Cat Wildling, Seasearch Coordinator for Cornwall Wildlife Trust says,

“Seasearch is a fun and exciting way to meet like-minded people, and add an interesting focus for your recreational diving. We have a lot of work to do to gather information this year, which will feed into the very important process currently going on in government, of providing evidence to designate proposed Marine Conservation Zones in Cornwall”
