A new take on the concept of Absurdism created by Wendy Parkyn and William Isaacs as a reaction to the abundance of largely uninspiring paintings currently available.

William was born in Bath and has resided in Cornwall for 30 years where he continues to create unusual and thought provoking works of art.
Wendy Parkyn comes from Jersey and has lived in Cornwall for 20 years. She now runs art classes throughout North Cornwall, whilst finding time to create landscape painting in all media. She is well known for holding solo exhibitions every spring and autumn in Padstow.
They paint both individually and together, sometimes Wendy constructing the background landscape (as she is mainly a landscape painter) whilst William gives the picture its detailed enigmatic content.
The aim of their work is to extend and exercise the imagination of the viewer, with a highly incongruous scenario that is both thought provoking and humorous.
The purpose of the exhibition is for the viewer to experience the enjoyment of the ideas and to realise that the unconventional can be refreshing.
