Piran Meadows Resort & Spa sits five miles outside of Newquay and is a new £8 million holiday home resort
More than 70 local businesses and tourist attractions turned out in force at Piran Meadows Resort & Spa to toast the success of its first summer season since opening its doors to guests in July.
Operated by Darwin Holiday and Leisure Parks, £8 million has been invested in the infrastructure at Piran Meadows Resort and Spa over the past year to create a stunning holiday destination where guests can relax and enjoy unforgettable experiences with friends and families.
Lindsey Bamford, Managing Director of Darwin Holiday and Leisure Parks, commented: “Having invested £8 million in the re-development of the site, there has been a huge amount of interest in Piran Meadows locally, and subsequently we were thrilled to have the opportunity to thank everyone for their support and show them the fruits of our labour. We are looking forward to establishing long-lasting relationships with local businesses and attractions to ensure that the park provides a real benefit to the local economy. We are also thrilled to be opening some of our facilities to non-residents.”
“Since opening its doors in July, Piran Meadows has been fully booked for the summer season, and the popularity of the park is a great testament to the resort meeting the needs of holidaymakers, enabling them to forge enduring memories with friends or family time and time again – whether visiting as a holidaymaker or as an owner of one of the luxurious lodges.”
Featuring 181 plots in total, Piran Meadows offers holidaymakers a mix of brand new, state-of-the-art static caravan pitches and lodges. Guests can rent one of 11 lodges or 104 static caravans via Hoseasons (from £265 per week), or choose from a range of 10 lodge plots and 19 caravan pitches to buy if they are looking to create a home-from-home that they can return to time and time again. The resort already has six lodge owners and 31 caravan owners.
Representatives from major tourist organisations and businesses such as Visit Cornwall and Visit Newquay, joined the management team of Piran Meadows Resort & Spa to enjoy a champagne reception and networking opportunities.
Guests were treated to an exclusive tour around Cornwall’s newest luxury holiday resort, located just five miles from Newquay. As well as showcasing the accommodation available to guests, the evening gave the team at Piran Meadows the opportunity to unveil its stunning new leisure facilities which are now open for non-residents to enjoy. These include the bar, restaurant, Costa Coffee lounge, plus the outdoor splash area for children, indoor swimming pool and The Spa.
With stunning views across Cornwall’s picturesque countryside, Piran Meadows will be open for eleven months of the year for luxury lodge and caravan holidays and for holiday home ownership. With an emphasis on creating a haven to relax and unwind with friends or family, the resort features a central building that offers guests to be part of a unique community. This houses an indoor heated pool and spa facilities, bistro-style restaurant and contemporary bar/café, a bowling alley and golf simulator, games lounge and pool tables, as well as an outdoor water play area. Further activities including archery, fencing and body zorbs are offered through Hoseasons’ Go Active Plus Programme to both holiday home owners and holidaymakers.
As a result of the investment, Piran Meadows, which is a former caravanning, tenting and touring park, has been transformed to provide a top of the range holiday location and become one of Cornwall’s most stunning holiday resorts.
