This spring will see a unique event called Brunch on the Farm arrive in South Cornwall. Held at Argal Home Farm above the Argal and College reservoirs near Falmouth, Brunch on the Farm will bring together a talented group of makers, chefs and musicians to entertain guests. The venue is a purpose-built barn where visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy delicious food, learn valuable new skills and meet an inspiring network. Organised by independent coffee roasters Yallah, Brunch on the Farm promises to start the season for locals and visitors alike.

“We can’t wait to welcome people to the farm and show them what we’ve been doing,” Yallah founder Rich Blake says. “It’s been a great pleasure to work with such an amazing network of good people to bring this together.” Rich and Phil, the co-founders of Yallah, have obviously been busy. Thyme and Tide will bring their culinary skills to the event, providing brunch each day and a three course feast for Saturday night, using locally sourced and foraged ingredients.

The programme of workshops represent a diverse range of makers in Cornwall. They include Pinch Pottery with Hannah Lawrence, singing with Claire Ingleheart, making a phone case with Francli Craftwear, screen printing with Kiwi Print Studio and learning to how to brew the perfect coffee with Yallah themselves. Anything that visitors make during the workshops will be theirs to keep and can be taken away. Brunch will be served at 11.30 each day from 8th – 10th of April, and can be purchased alone for those visitors just curious to see the farm and eat great food in the beautiful surroundings.

From their restored vintage roasting machine to their coffee chaff powered biomass boiler, ethical packaging and transparent supply chain (they source coffee directly from small growers), Yallah Coffee make decisions based on doing the right thing. As Rich says, “Brunch on the Farm represents a special network coming together to show their skills, just as spring arrives in Cornwall.” For locals and visitors alike, it’s a great opportunity to get involved.
