The Red Arrows will once again be decorating the skies and entertaining thousands during Henri Lloyd Falmouth Week thanks to Falmouth Harbour Commissioners.

The Falmouth Harbour Commissioners has also teamed up with the Red Arrows to offer one person the opportunity to win the chance to sit with a Red Arrows pilot, Red 10, during his commentary of the exhilarating spectacle from Custom House Quay.

Renowned as the worlds premier aerobatic team the Red Arrows will be returning to Falmouth at 6.15pm on Wednesday August 14 2013 with a traditional nine-jet formation.

Falmouth Harbour Commissioners, who has sponsored the Arrows last three visits during Falmouth Week, will be ensuring thousands of visitors will be captivated again.

Dave Ellis, Chair of Falmouth Harbour Commissioners, said: We are delighted to be able to bring this iconic community event back to Falmouth once again. Sponsoring the event is just one of the examples of how Falmouth Harbour Commissioners reinvests back into the town to give the whole community something to come together for and celebrate.

Dave added: For one lucky person were thrilled to be able to arrange for them to win the chance to get even closer to the action by sitting right next to pilot Red 10 during the display.

Squadron Leader Jim Turner, Team Leader of the Red Arrows, said: During 2012 the Red Arrows team flew its season with seven aircraft. I am pleased to say that this year we will not only be returning to Falmouth, but we will also be performing as a traditional nine-jet display. We hope the people of Falmouth will share our pride and enjoyment of the performance.

The display, which flies over the waterfront in Falmouth, was watched by nearly 30,000 people during their last visit in 2011 and will undoubtedly draw even larger crowds this year, Shoreside Committee Chair and Town Manager Richard Gates said: The Red Arrows were one of the highlights of previous Falmouth Weeks so were understandably thrilled that the Falmouth Harbour Commissioners has made their return possible. In addition to the live commentary that will be aired live on BBC Radio Cornwall on the evening of the display, there will also be a Red Arrows simulator on Prince of Wales pier between Saturday 10 18 August offering visitors an in-flight experience.
