  1. Pop up Crab and Oyster Shack - Ostraca

Carlyon Beach has been totally transformed with a pearl of a pop up. Nestled amongst the dunes is one of Cornwall’s favourites of the street food circuit Ostraca’ - a 20ft shipping container converted in to a modern eatery, overlooking the bay towards the tall ships of Charlestown and Mevagissey. With fresh locally sourced seafood and steaks, a full Cornish bar and kiddie’s delights such as crab claws’ and steak soldiers’ young families and funky friends alike love it.

  1. Refresh Sharp’s beers and relax The Mariners

Nathan Outlaw’s team at The Mariners serves up a range of Sharp’s award winning beers on the North Cornish coast, with the best fresh, seasonal pub food. Relax and soak up the rays on the newly opened balcony, overlooking Camel estuary and out to Padstow. Palates are refreshed with Sharp’s Brewery’s award winning Doom Bar whilst the crew tuck the  in to BBQ mackerel and Porthilly oysters plucked from the sea front.



  1. Brisket & Blues

At the Star and Garter, the tastiest of Cornish produce is smoked and cured on site and served up to the tunes of live blues music. Shuck an Oyster or six, sip some local beers and relax in the cool banquets with stunning unspoilt views across Falmouth Harbour. Downstairs hipsters dream of themselves as the ultimate chef,  checking out the action in the open plan kitchen, home to chef’s favourite toys; the Green Egg, ceramic bbq’s, a pickling area and butchery room.
