Award winning Looe hotel and restaurant Barclay House announces one off lunch and private screening of television programme ten mile menu. Hosted on Thursday 21st July, ITVs ten mile menu will be aired featuring Barclay House as the location.
Lunch will be served al fresco, where good weather permits, and will be compiled from strictly the most local of produce which includes, Nippers handpicked crab cakes with Duloe duck egg mayonnaise and Pan Fried Local Turbot with foraged samphire and local mussels. Dishes will be complimented by a selection of local Camel Valley wines on offer from the comprehensive wine list. For those remaining true to the cause, Cornish Orchards apple juices and cider will be available which is produced just along the Looe river at Duloe
The programme shows nationally acclaimed chefs such as Phil Vickery known for his appearances on daytime television such as this morning, along with Jun Tanaka, the chef of Michelin star restaurant The Pearl in London. The chefs are paired with household names Kim Woodburn and Camilla Dallerup in order to source and prepare a menu inspired by the vast produce which Looe and the surrounding area is renound for.
Head Chef Benjamin Palmer comments Ten Mile Menu is a credit to our personal commitment to Looe. We enjoy such variety in fresh and seasonal produce from Looe Day boat Fish to Trenant farm beef fillet from just across the East Looe river- we can literally see the farm from our restaurant!. To be a part of something nationally supporting our credentials is fantastic.
Open for Dinner Monday to Saturday evenings, Barclay House occupies a prominent position, overlooking the East Looe river and valley. Barclay House is committed to the local area through use of neighbouring suppliers ranging from using local farmers to directly supply fruit and vegetables, to the handmade Cornish chocolates placed on the pillows in the rooms.
