Lusty Glaze Restaurant in Newquay welcomes new head chef Nat Tallents, from TV’s MasterChef The Professionals.

Nat who is a self-taught chef has risen through the ranks of the culinary world at an impressive speed, impressing John Torode and Greg Wallace in 2012 with her passion, creativity and natural flare.

'There are very few places in England where you can be in the kitchen within meters of the stunning Atlantic Ocean, and I’m very excited to be the sea’s spectator whilst creating dishes to complement the awesome surroundings at Lusty.' says Nat.

She has also created a special Christmas in the Cove’ banquet menu (available November - January) for that essential end of year get together.

Lusty Glaze Restaurant is a small but perfectly formed establishment located on the sand of one of North Cornwall’s most secluded and stunning beaches. Gone are the days of beach café cuisine, Lusty Glaze restaurant has been evolving at quite a pace over the last year.

Nat started cooking at the age of 22, where she secured a Commis Chef position in a local gastro pub, within 18 short months she became head chef of the very same kitchen. In the years that followed Nat went on to work at the head of three award-winning kitchens, her style of combining traditional influences and cooking methods to showcase the very best of local ingredients has proved a winning formula for diners ever since.

Having relocated from West Yorkshire to Cornwall to take up the helm of the Lusty Glaze kitchen; Nat’s brand new Autumn/Winter menu is now being served with a new Sunday menu created weekly.
