40 guests embraced the irony of ‘working class’ food being paired with ‘upper class’ champagne. Taking simple dishes like liver and onions and a jam butty, Ben transformed them into fine dining food, demonstrating creativity and skill.
It included: Roots and Shoots and Louis Pommery England Nv, Pea and Ham and Pommery Brut Royal Nv, Jam Butty and Pommery Brut Rose Nv, Liver and onions and Pommery Grand Cru 2006. A highlight was Louis Pommery England; the only English sparkling wine to be made by a champagne house and available exclusively in Manchester at Grafene.
