The peaceful campsite is an ideal base for exploring North Cornwall and Devon and is perfect for families, groups and couples. Camping Pods are also available on site.
The Outdoor + Active Centre offers a variety of watersports activities including sailing, windsurfing and kayaking for individuals, families and groups. Visitors can benefit from tuition, hire a range of equipment from pedaloes and rowing boats to windsurfers and dinghies, or the opportunity to launch your own craft. The fun, relaxed atmosphere makes it a great location to learn a new sport.
If fishing is more your style then you will be interested to know that this quiet lake is very well stocked with carp well over 30lb with a good head of 20s. The lake record is a 46lb mirror carp caught in 2007.
There are also many miles of paths following the shorelines of the two lakes, meandering through woodland and on to open countryside. So whether youre looking for a leisurely stroll, an active cycle ride or a more challenging walk, whatever your ability, there is something for everyone at Tamar.
Facilities onsite include communal style showers, a washing up area, a chemical disposal point, recycling facilities, electric hook ups and hard standings. There is also a childrens play area, making Tamar the ideal spot for all the family to enjoy. Even dogs are welcome!
Both furnished and unfurnished camping pods are also available. These pods are made out of sustainable wood supplies and supply their own energy for lighting through solar panels on the roof. The furnished pods come complete with two ground floor twin beds and two foldout twin beds. They also each have a table and chairs for four people.
