Cornwall is not short of gorgeous little cafes and delis – and now Cornwall Food & Drink has done the hard work for us by creating its first Truly Cornish Café Trail’ – a tempting collection of the best independent cafés in Cornwall.
Alongside the tastiest food, many of those featured also have the finest views – and the best cafes combine both. And if supporting local producers is important to you – every café on the trail prides themselves on sourcing local ingredients, supporting local producers and serving top quality Cornish food and drinks.
The guide features the cream of the county’s cafés: from Sennen near Land’s End in the west, up to Bude on the north coast and Liskeard in the south east of the county.
The trail is available to download online at www.choosecornish.co.uk and hard copies are available to pick up throughout the county in tourist offices, shops and attractions, as well as at the featured cafés. The trail is designed to celebrate the variety of great independent cafés that have sprung up in recent years, offering food and drink that gives the increasingly ubiquitous chains a run for their money. Cornwall Food & Drink is also hoping to inspire people to discover places they may not have tried before, whether they are visiting a Cornish town or getting off the beaten track.
The trail forms part of the year-long ‘Choose Cornish’ campaign, by Cornwall Food & Drink and Cornwall Chamber of Commerce to reinvigorate local purchasing in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, and generate value within the local economy.
