The theme for the competition running 25 - 31 May is ‘Rainforest Birds and Animals’.

The judging panel includes respected artist John Dyer, Zoo director Stewart Muir and Lee Trewhela from the Cornish Guardian. The overall winner will receive either a family ticket or an animal experience (depending on age), while winners of each category will each get a goodie-bag – plus all winning pictures will also be displayed at the zoo.

Zoo director Stewart Muir said “We are delighted to offer children the chance to display colourful works of art at our zoo and get involved our celebration of ‘Love Your Zoo’ week – we hope that the theme of rainforest animals and birds will inspire creativity, and look forward to a great response!”

Age categories for entrants are; Under 5s, 5-10yrs & 11-15yrs, and the closing date for entries is 1st June 2013.

Artwork can be created in any medium (i.e. paint, crayon, digital) but should be submitted on paper & either dropped off to the Zoo, or posted to:
