Lantallack is a lovely old Georgian farm, set in 40 acres in the heart of south east Cornwall and borders an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Only 20 minutes from Plymouth, this gem is a place for the free-spirited, for those who yearn something different and special; beautiful views across undulating countryside and wooded valleys, big open skies and unforgettable sunsets. Its peaceful situation makes it an ideal retreat for a truly relaxing holiday or an idyllic Cornish wedding.
Beauty, peace and tranquility have always been an attraction to Lantallacks many guests, earning it a 5-star Gold Award. The luxury accommodation includes two beautifully converted cottages - Pollys Bower, an idyllic romantic hideaway for 2 people and Pippin Cottage for 6 people - both have stunning views over unspoilt countryside and stand privately in their own grounds.
There is also 5-star Gold Award accommodation in the house, in two double bedrooms (one en suite, the other with private bathroom). Both are inviting with extremely comfortable beds, pretty cushions/throws and extra treats. The atmosphere is relaxed and informally friendly to ensure guests feel at home and enjoy their stay. There is also a fabulous outdoor solar-heated swimming pool open from May to October.
Lantallack is licensed as a venue for marriages and civil partnerships too. From a traditional wedding at a local medieval church to an informal civil ceremony on site, Lantallack is a wonderful place in which to create your perfect country wedding.
The setting has a backdrop of glorious views. The gardens, orchard, walled garden and pool terrace offer a spectacular venue for those wanting somewhere intimate and beautiful to get married.
Brides and grooms can say their vows either inside the lovely old open 17th century Cart Barn adjacent to the pool terrace, under the canopy of the Wisteria Walk or in the Conservatory off the Walled Garden, with all their friends around them. Wherever they choose to say their vows it will be a romantic corner.
Lantallack lies adjacent to an AONB and the River Lyhner and is close to many magnificent Cornish beaches, with opportunities for swimming, sailing and windsurfing. The fishing villages of Cawsand and Kingsand and the glorious 5 mile long beach Whitsand Bay are nearby whilst a short trip in the car will get you to the National Trust properties of Cotehele, Lanhydrock and Saltram. Bodmin Moor, Dartmoor and the Eden Project are only 30 minutes away and if you fancy a game of golf, Lantallack is just 10 minutes from the International Golf Course of St. Mellion.
