Expanding local estate agents and auctioneers Lodge and Thomas are delighted to announce the recruitment of a new land agent and auctioneer. Andrew Ranson, a qualified Agricultural Valuer and Chartered Surveyor, has this week commenced working for them out of their Truro Office and Truro Livestock Market.
Mr Ranson has just moved down from the Midlands and has almost 20 years experience in rural property consultancy. As a partner in his previous firm, Mr Ranson has sold by auction over 120 million of property over the last three years, as well as selling numerous farms, blocks of land, pony paddocks, barns for conversion and development sites by the more conventional private treaty method of sale.
In addition to selling property Mr Ranson describes himself as a good all-rounder and has enjoyed a varied role in advising a diverse spectrum of rural property owners and tenants on a wide range of matters including, planning, agricultural and environmental subsidies, tax planning and tenancy issues.
Mr Ranson says, Having been brought up on a large beef and dairy farm I enjoy working with farmers and I am looking forward to meeting Lodge and Thomas' existing clients and hopefully in time, generating new clients and business for the firm.
His role within the successful rural team will involve auctioneering and a similar wide range of professional advice.
Mr Ranson also has a young family and enjoys sailing, windsurfing, diving and rugby.
