Sales Success with Tregonce Cliff Creates a Rush to instruct Knight Frank in North Cornwall

Caroline and Paul Frew beat the property slump and realised their lifelong dream to sail the world thanks to Knight Frank.

Paul Frew is a happy man today thanks to Knight Frank. He said, When Caroline and I decided to put our beloved Tregonce Cliff, overlooking the Camel Estuary in Cornwall, for sale, we contacted Knight Frank because we knew they were very experienced in marketing high value properties. Nevertheless, we expected the place to take some time to sell, given the current situation in the property market and of course, the economy. Tregonce was advertised at 3 million but Knight Frank immediately generated so much interest that competitive bidding ensued and the house sold after only 6 weeks for 300,000 above the asking price. We are absolutely delighted. Sandy Davenports Waterfront Department team at Knight Franks Exeter office were an inspirational example of true professionalism. We have now set sail on the good ship Juno, our Oyster 575 for our dream world tour. My thanks go to the whole team at Knight Frank.

As a result of this success, Knight Frank has now received instructions on an excellent selection of beautiful properties in spectacularly beautiful parts of North Cornwall including a house with extraordinary views at New Polzeath.

The Cove has open views over the beach and out to sea and offers a dream lifestyle of beauty, relaxation and fun. This contemporary four bedroom beach-house style home is beautifully designed with engineered oak floors and an open plan style that flows out towards the superb southerly sea views. A gate from the bottom of the garden leads you directly along the footpath to the beach.

David & Polly Lambert bought The Cove just over 2 years ago and after instructing an architect and builder, they spent twelve months lovingly rebuilding and extending the property. David & Polly have worked together on properties in the past and although they love the finished product there is always that tremendous urge to do it again. They do enjoy the buzz of seeing their ideas come to life. David & Polly have now reluctantly decided to put The Cove on the market as they want to move closer to their grandchildren who live in Bath. Theyve loved it at The Cove and the thing they will miss the most is going to bed at night listening to the waves crashing on the shore just below.

Other exciting new waterside properties Knight Frank currently have to offer in North Cornwall are:

Farlands (marketed jointly with John Bray & Partners) is a beautiful home set in the popular village of Trebethick near Padstow within ten minutes walk from Daymer Bay and with gorgeous views out to sea. Al fresco dining will become a way of life with the panoramic views over the terrace and lawn. Theres lots of space to store the wetboards, surfboards and life jackets you may need for life so close to the beach. However, Newquay International Airport is only 19 miles away if you can bear to leave.

Port Quin Farmhouse is in a wonderful position in an idyllic cove overlooking the delightful Cornish hamlet of Port Quin, the sea and the beautiful surrounding countryside. Delightfully light and airy, it has a contemporary touch that perfectly suits the traditional character of the property in this area near Port Isaac, made famous by the Doc Martin series. This is real Cornwall at its best.

Tregardock Cottage is superbly located between legendary Tintagel and renowned Port Issac in a secluded spot thats set in a tiny hamlet of houses above a beautiful Cornish surfing beach. Entering the house, past a collection of lobster buoys, youll find a spacious kitchen with flagstone floors and a twin Aga. The whole cottage is beautifully designed with four bedrooms, a conservatory and sun terrace. There is an attractive sitting room downstairs, but upstairs there is possibly the best room in the house, a beautiful second sitting room with floor to ceiling windows designed to take in the stunning views of the sea and spectacular sunsets. Lovely gardens and a path directly down to the isolated surfing beach make this a truly dreamy Cornish hideaway.

The Old Barn at Tregonce, St Issey is a lovely Cornish cottage with direct water access and views over Little Petherick Creek, just one mile from Padstow by the Camel Trail or five miles by road. It enjoys lawned gardens, a field of about 5 acres and a track leading to a slipway and small beach with a mooring. A perfect place to escape and indulge in some Swallows and Amazons style relaxation, you are nevertheless only 9 miles away from Newquay airport.
