A&P Falmouth celebrated 150 years service to the shipping industry on Saturday (July 10) with an extra-special party to mark the occasion.
The company was delighted to be joined by guests including Falmouth MP Sarah Newton; Mayor Geoffrey Evans; Cllr Pat Harvey, chairman of Cornwall Council, as well as customers, partners and long-term associates.
Special guests were Chris Bell, chief executive of the A&P Group; Tom Duncan, managing director of A&P Falmouth between 1985 and 1992, who flew in from Vancouver for the event, and Dennis Hall, who was production director for two periods.
Also present were Terry Roberts, the companys oldest serving employee, and Wilf Perham, representing Falmouth Docks Pensioners.
Managing director Peter Child gave a speech thanking everyone for their support, and Mayor Geoffrey Evans said a few words on behalf of Falmouth.
Mr Child said: I am proud to say the docks has been at the heart of life in Falmouth for 150 years, and I hope it continues to be a central part of the town for the next 150.
We were pleased to be joined by so many familiar faces past and present to help us celebrate life our achievements.
