Simply Wood, to celebrate 25 years of designing and making bespoke, handmade kitchens, is looking to raise enough money to fund 25 Shelterboxes one to mark each year of business. Their popular charity Chef Master Classes with the In Season theme are going from strength to strength. Excitement is now building for the appearance of Benjamin Palmer from the award winning Barclay House in Looe who is giving up his time to raise money for ShelterBox on the evening of Wednesday, 16 March.
Benjamin has, since taking over as Head Chef at Barclay House three years ago, gained a number of prestigious awards, including two AA Rosettes, silver Visit Cornwall Restaurant of the Year (2009) and winner of the Taste of the West, South West Restaurant of the Year in 2010. The restaurant is listed in the 2010 Michelin Guide. Benjamins philosophy is to keep dishes simple and to use reliable local suppliers and fresh, seasonal produce. He promises a great culinary evening at the Simply Wood ShelterBox Kitchen with food and wine tasting throughout.
