We can help with the following problems:

Whether you are suffering from anxiety or depression, problems in relationships - whether at home or work, aches and pains, fears and phobias, trauma and stress, unresolved childhood issues or generally just struggling with life we have someone who will be able to work with you to find a solution, if there is one, or help you come to terms with the issues you are dealing with if there isn't. We also have a nutritional therapist who can help you with weight loss, food intolerances, boosting immune function and sports nutrition.

In addition to the therapies mentioned above we also offer various courses e.g. a two-day Understanding Human Personality / TA101 course for people who want to know more about themselves, others and their relationships good for people who work with or manage other people. Stress management courses for people who need to find new ways of coping with stress and anxiety and a Well-being support group for people who are suffering from anxiety and depression.
We offer the following professional training:
We run professional psychotherapy training. This is a part time course, held at weekends and leads to an MSc Integrated Humanistic Psychotherapy and UKCP registration as a psychotherapeutic counsellor or as a psychotherapist, depending upon the route taken.
In July we will be running an accredited Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) course starting in July 2011. The course will be run by Sandi Richman; there are still some places available. Applications need to be made by the end of May so apply soon to ensure your place. Email for an application form.
We offer the following services to employers:
Starting this year we are offering a bespoke employee assistance package. We consider that prevention is better than cure when it comes to staff illness. As you are probably aware minor illnesses such as colds, flu and stomach upsets are by some way the main cause of short-term absence for both manual and non-manual workers. Among manual workers the next most significant cause of short-term absence is musculoskeletal conditions, such as neck strains and repetitive strain injury, followed by back pain and stress.
Stress is the second biggest cause of short-term absence for non-manual workers, followed by musculoskeletal conditions, home and family responsibilities and back pain.
Stress is the number one cause of long-term absence among non-manual employees, followed by acute medical conditions, mental ill health, such as clinical depression and anxiety, and musculoskeletal conditions.
Your staff can benefit from any of the above therapies and courses in order to prevent chronic issues developing, to reduce anxiety, stress and depression and to help your employee be more productive for your organisation. After all when your member of staff is off sick it costs your business money for which you get no benefit. Some investment in their physical and mental health will soon reap rewards for both your business and your staff. Come along to our awareness day to find out more or phone to make an appointment so we can discuss your specific needs further.
