The Season Ahead at Carnglaze Caverns:

September 2010

Sunny September is here once again

Weve done with the weather

Weve had enough rain

But we bit our tongues

& we didnt complain

Because we knew that the sun

Would be back in our skies

When the emmets went home

& the schools went back

We do know our sun

& Its funny like that!

September has arrived & we can all breath a deep sigh and ready ourselves for Autumn! We all look forward to the first weekend in September as it heralds the start of our Autumn Season ~ Have you got our new brochure? Its purple & has the Animals on the front cover! Call us if you cant find one because you dont want to miss:

On Sunday 5th at 6pm we have our annual Carnglaze Classical Picnic ~

Two rising cross-over stars, soprano Phillippa Lusty and tenor Thomas Spencer-Wortley come together for this charity event along with nationally acclaimed Bodmin College Jazz Orchestra and guests.

Phillippa returns to her home county to raise funds for the Precious Lives appeal with an afternoon of breathtaking music in the magical setting of Carnglaze Caverns. With her unique style and smooth sounds, Phillippa is a pioneering singer /songwriter in the Crossover genre. This 22 year olds popularity is growing across all age groups. Thomas has performed with the greats including Katherine Jenkins and Beverley Knight.

Supporting these two exceptional artists is The Bodmin College Jazz Orchestra whose epic concert here in 2009 helped them on their way to America! We are thrilled to welcome them back here & welcome home!
