Pendennis Castle - owned by English Heritage sits majestically above Falmouth. Considered to be one of the finest fortresses, it was built by Henry VIII and was one of the last Royalist strongholds to fall during the English Civil War.
Famous for being the home of British surfing, Fistral Beach in Newquay has long been a mecca to water sport lovers. The beach is looked over by the imposing Headland hotel, which boasts a great cream tea and uninterrupted views.
