“There is nothing like discovering a huge sky throwing light onto slices of a new panorama, to make me reach for my pastels,” says Constantine artist Lin Williams.

She is gearing up for opening her studio on May 24. “It is my seventh open studio exhibition.”

Since her first open studio in 2007, which enabled her to grow a body of work, she has enjoyed solo exhibitions such as her one at The Greenbank Hotel in Falmouth. She has also secured new relationships with galleries including White Sails in Dartmouth.

“Open studios gave me the confidence to push myself forward,” says Lin, whose studio is open from 10.30am until 5.30pm every day until June 1 when there will be a A Taste of Pastels workshop from 9.30am until 11.30am - cost being £15 – all materials provided. “Booking for this is essential,” says Lin, adding that the exhibition will continue to run all day while the workshop takes place.
