A bucket list of beaches, food and wildlife activities in Cornwall
In light of the recent news that only 58 per cent of children have ever tried a Cornish pasty, stayincornwall.co.uk has released the 'Ultimate Bucket List for Visitors to Cornwall'. So what's on it?
Attractions such as the Minack Theatre, The Barbara Hepworth Museum and The Eden Project are included as well as more historical treasures such as The Count House and Tintagel Castle. Alongside the attractions, traditional Cornish cuisine features heavily with eating a cream tea, sampling stargazy pie and of course, devouring a humble Cornish pasty also making the list.
With the weather forecast looking bright and a record breaking summer being anticipated, Stayincornwall.co.uk has found that visitor numbers to the site have increased by 33 per cent over the last month compared to the same period last year and the number of searches for Cornwall holidays is also up by almost 15 per cent compared to 2013, showing that Cornwall remains a popular destination for people taking holidays in the UK.
“We were shocked to hear the statistics that only 58 per cent of children had tried a Cornish pasty and felt that this needed to be rectified," saysMatt Fletcher from stayincornwall.co.uk said. "Cornwall’s heritage is part of its charm and this bucket list as a way to inform people of all that Cornwall offers. Hopefully the weather encourages people to tick off as many as possible.”
